Retired Admiral Davor Domazet Loso said the celebration in Karlovac did not represent an opposition to the official marking of the tenth anniversary of Storm in Knin. He added the official state policy represented an opposition to the foundations of Croatia because it did not stand for legitimate interests and because since 2000 it agreed to the policy of France, the UK and the Hague war crimes tribunal according to which Croatia was created on a war crime.
Zdravko Tomac accused the government of accepting the distortion of the truth about the foundations of Croatia and criticised its action plan to locate and arrest General Ante Gotovina. He also said the authorities should realise that what Serbian President Boris Tadic said about Storm was also stated in the Hague tribunal's indictments.
Speaking of the Karlovac military district's role in Storm, General Miljenko Crnjac said that no war crimes were committed in the district.
Ivan Zvonimir Cicak, Zarko Puhovski, Mate Granic and Miroslav Separovic did not attend the round-table debate although they were invited.
