ZAGREB, Aug 3 (Hina) - Croatian President Stjepan Mesic who is thesupreme commander of the Croatian Armed Forces has make decisions onconferring ranks on and promotions of officers on the occasion of theVictory and Homeland Thanksgiving Day, the President's militarycabinet reported on Wednesday.
ZAGREB, Aug 3 (Hina) - Croatian President Stjepan Mesic who is the supreme commander of the Croatian Armed Forces has make decisions on conferring ranks on and promotions of officers on the occasion of the Victory and Homeland Thanksgiving Day, the President's military cabinet reported on Wednesday.

Major General Mladen Kruljac is promoted to the Lieutenant General, and Brigadier General Gordan Cacic is promoted to Major General.

Twelve colonels are promoted to brigadiers, 22 majors to colonels and 37 captains to majors. Eight 1st lieutenants are given the ranks of colonels and 26 2nd lieutenants become 1st lieutenants.

Ranks of the 1st lieutenants are conferred on 55 army members, including cadets who have been trained abroad.
