The SDP on Thursday issued a message saying that it would like to see a speedy improvement of living conditions of the Croatian Roma.
"Although over the past 30 years positive steps have been made with regard to the respect for human rights, the quality of life and the social integration of the Roma, they remain the most vulnerable ethnic minority in Europe, as well as in Croatia".
The SDP supports initiatives to build a Roma culture club in Zagreb.
The eighth of April has been celebrated as World Roma Day since 1971, when this ethnic community held its first world congress in London.
