ZAGREB/THE HAGUE, March 23 (Hina) - At his initial appearance beforethe International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY),former Bosnian Serb army officer Drago Nikolic on Wednesday postponedthe entering of his plea to
charges referring to the slaughter of morethan 7,000 Bosnian Muslims in Srebrenica in 1995.
ZAGREB/THE HAGUE, March 23 (Hina) - At his initial appearance
before the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY),
former Bosnian Serb army officer Drago Nikolic on Wednesday postponed the
entering of his plea to charges referring to the slaughter of more than 7,000
Bosnian Muslims in Srebrenica in 1995.The 47-year-old Bosnian Serb is charged on six counts with genocide and
participation in genocide, crimes against humanity and violations of laws and
customs of war. The judge granted Nikolic's request that he be given another 30
days to enter his plea in the presence of his defence attorney.
Nikolic surrendered to the tribunal on March 17.
