LJUBLJANA, March 9 (Hina) - Slovenia and Croatia have a friendly
relationship and more common interests than disagreements, which stem from the
former Socialist Yugoslavia, Slovene Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel said on
Wednesday. He was speaking in Koper at a round-table debate also attended by
Croatian Ambassador Mario Nobilo, who said he was pleased with Ljubljana's
positive position on the start of Zagreb's European Union entry negotiations,
scheduled for March 17.
Nobilo said the postponement of Croatia's EU entry talks might
strengthen the anti-reform forces in Croatia as well as in other countries
which wished to become admission candidates.
