Frank said he was satisfied with the pace of development of relations between the United States and Croatia, and conveyed his country's full support to Croatia in its efforts to join the European Union and NATO, a Foreign Ministry statement said.
The US diplomat was acquainted with the steps Zagreb was taking as part of full cooperation with the UN war crimes tribunal in The Hague in order to resolve the case of fugitive Croatian army general Ante Gotovina.
Biscevic said that Croatia wanted to continue providing active assistance in the fight against international terrorism through participation in important multilateral instruments such as the Proliferation Security Initiative.
On the subject of Iraq, the Croatian officials welcomed the recent holding of the first free elections in Iraq and reiterated that Croatia was ready to send police instructors to the international training centre in Jordan for the purposes of training Iraqi police officers.
Also mentioned at the talks were other activities Croatia was undertaking in order to support the Middle East peace process, the statement said.
