"Kosovo is at one of the most critical and important stages in its history and the Albanian majority must create conditions for the free movement of the Serb minority within the territory of Kosovo," the Kosovo government said in a message on Saturday.
The government called on all displaced persons, regardless of their ethnic background, to return and participate in building the future of Kosovo, urging citizens to respect property-related rights and give back the appropriated property to their rightful owners.
Randjel Nojkic, a member of the provincial assembly representing the Serb List for Kosovo and Metohija, said that the invitation was welcome, but that commitments should first be translated into deeds.
