SARAJEVO, Jan 26 (Hina) - The Croat member of the Presidency of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Dragan Covic, has opposed Croatian President Stjepan Mesic's proposal that Bosnian Croats be stripped off their right to vote at elections in Croatia.

Covic said the issue should be regulated by an international agreement on dual citizenship.

"I am not in favour of this right being revoked now. I am in favour of a bilateral agreement on dual citizenship and that the right to vote in the agreement be regulated with an annex under which the voting right will be regulated by a national electoral regulation," Covic said in an interview ran by Sarajevo-based Dnevni Avaz daily on Wednesday.

He said that the proposal on stripping Bosnian Croats off this right was coming in a very inconvenient time because Bosnia was entering the year of constitutional changes.
