EUROFOR members thoroughly checked all cars, buses and trucks passing through the border crossing, officials of Bosnia's State Border Police and Herceg-Bosna Canton police confirmed.
This was the third time this week that EUROFOR had set up checkpoints in the said canton. The first was set up Monday afternoon, when they monitored traffic and checked all cars on the Kupres-Suica road, and the second in the night between Tuesday and Wednesday, when they monitored and checked vehicles entering Tomislavgrad.
According to eyewitnesses, EUROFOR says that vehicles are being checked for illegal weapons, although according to rumours circulating among residents of Livno, Tomislavgrad and Kupres, EUROFOR is looking for Ante Gotovina, a Croatian general wanted by the UN war crimes tribunal in The Hague.
