ZAGREB, Jan 24 (Hina) - The Croatian Justice Ministry dismissed
Monday's media reports about possible replacement of Chief State Prosecutor
Mladen Bajic and the head of the Office for the Prevention of Corruption and
Organised Crime (USKOK), Zeljko Zganjer.Dnevnik daily ran an article headlined "USKOK And Prosecution: Are
Zganjer And Bajic Leaving?". The author of the article said that according to
lobby talk preparations for Bajic's replacement may be under way while
Zganjer's replacement was almost certain. According to the article, Assistant
Justice Minister Dubravko Palijas could be appointed new chief of the USKOK
department in charge of international cooperation and joint investigations.
The Justice Ministry dismissed the article.
