Croatia, Norway sign agreement on extradition of illegal migrants

ZAGREB, Jan 24 (Hina) - Croatian Interior Minister Marijan Mlinaric andNorwegian Ambassador to Croatia Knut Toraasen on Monday signed anagreement on the extradition of people whose entrance or stay in oneof the countries signatories to the agreement is illegal, the CroatianInterior Ministry said in a statement.
ZAGREB, Jan 24 (Hina) - Croatian Interior Minister Marijan Mlinaric and Norwegian Ambassador to Croatia Knut Toraasen on Monday signed an agreement on the extradition of people whose entrance or stay in one of the countries signatories to the agreement is illegal, the Croatian Interior Ministry said in a statement.

The agreement also stipulates conditions necessary for the extradition of illegal migrants and the protection of the information the two countries have exchanged.

The agreement also refers to illegal migrants from third countries and those without citizenship.

Mlinaric said Croatia and Norway would also sign an agreement on joint fight against organised crime and an agreement on disasters, the statement said.
