appoint a government yesterday.

Bosnia and Herzegovina on Friday reactivated financial penalties against four
political parties following the failure of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton
Assembly to appoint a government yesterday. In line with the High
Representative's decisions of 29 May and 7 June, 20 per cent of party funding
for 2007 that is yet to be disbursed to the Croat parties HDZ BiH and HDZ 1990
and to the Muslim parties SDA and SBiH is being deducted today and a further 20
per cent will be deducted every week until they agree on forming a cantonal
government, read a statement.
The last general elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina were held in
October 2006.
