Internal medicine specialist Gasparovic said Glavas was capable of attending the hearing, but according to unofficial information, the decision on the resumption of an investigation against Glavas will be based on the opinion of psychiatrist Vera Folnegovic Smalc which has not yet been submitted to investigating judge Zdenko Posavec.
Zagreb County Court Spokesman Kresimir Devcic said the decision to continue an investigation against Glavas, that was suspended in December after Glavas's health deteriorated as a result of a long-lasting hunger strike, would be made by judge Posavec based on the findings of the team of doctors. He added that no new hearing would be scheduled to hear the doctors' opinion, as was the case last time.
Apart from the Zagreb investigation into the so-called garage case, in which Glavas is suspected of being involved in the torture and killings of Serb civilians in the garages of the Osijek Secretariat for National Defence in 1991, also launched was an investigation in the so-called Sellotape case in which Glavas is suspected of involvement in the murders of Serb civilians by the Drava river during the war in Osijek in 1991. Glavas is receiving treatment at the Osijek Clinical Hospital. The investigation into the Sellotape case was launched before the Osijek County Court.
Following an order by Osijek County Court Investigating Judge Mario Kovac, Glavas was examined on Wednesday by psychiatrist Zeljka Vuksic Mihaljevic who is expected to submit her findings on Glavas's condition by Friday.
The latest findings by Osijek doctors show some improvement in Glavas's condition because he started taking solid food.
