OSIJEK, Feb 6 (Hina) - Osijek County Court investigating judge
Mario Kovac on Tuesday ordered a new psychiatric examination of independent
member of Parliament Branimir Glavas, who is suspected of involvement in the
murders of Serb civilians by the Drava river during the war in Osijek in 1991
and who is receiving treatment at the Osijek Clinical Hospital.
Court spokesman Miroslav Rozac said that the examination would be carried out
by Dr Zeljka Vuksic-Mihaljevic.
After receiving the court order, Dr Vuksic-Mihaljevic will have three
days to study the medical documentation, examine Glavas and report to Judge
Kovac on whether or not he is fit to participate in court proceedings, the
spokesman said.
Dr Vuksic-Mihaljevic examined Glavas a month ago and found him unfit to
participate in court proceedings.
Judge Kovac suspended the investigation against Glavas in the so-called
Sellotape Case on December 20 last year after his health deteriorated as a
result of a long-lasting hunger strike.
