Croatian Ambassador to Austria, Zoran Jasic, who attended the ball welcomed it as an occasion for Croats from Austria to meet socially.
The above-mentioned Austrian-Croatian association is an umbrella organisation co-ordinating activities of a score of Croat clubs in Vienna.
Burgenland Croats held their traditional annual ball in Schoenbrunn Hotel in the Austrian capital on 20 January.
These events are part of a programme of a few hundred balls which the Austrian capital hosts in the period from the start of a new year until Shrove Tuesday.
