At the same time, representatives of the Norwegian Cadastral Administration and the Croatian Mine Action Centre sign an agreement on the implementation of the CROMAC II project, while the representative Croatian Cadastral Administration and their Norwegian colleagues signed an agreement on the implementation of the CRONOGIP IV project.
The three projects, worth some 14 million Norwegian kruna, are financed by the Norwegian government and are part of bilateral cooperation, said Norway's Ambassador to Croatia, Elisabeth Walaas, who was preset at the signing.
The agreements cover three very important areas - environmental protection, further development of geographical data bases and the system of precise data on mine removal and mine infested areas, Walaas said.
Minister Biskupic thanked the Norwegian government for assisting Croatia through various projects.
The Norwegian Foreign Ministry last December accepted the project on administrating protected areas in Croatia, drawn up by the Croatian Culture Ministry, and donated EUR600,000 for that purpose. The project will cost 1.14 million euros.
