The Osijek County Court reported that a panel of judges quashed an appeal of the prosecution against the suspension of an investigation into Glavas's role in the murder of Serb civilians on the bank of the Drava River in December 1991. This case is also known as the Sellotape case.
The decision by investigating judge Mario Kovac to suspend the probe temporarily due to the suspect's condition thereby became final.
On 20 December, Judge Kovac suspended the probe after Glavas's health deteriorated as a result of a 37-day hunger strike during his detention in Zagreb in November. The decision was based on an opinion of an internist and a psychiatrist that Glavas was still unfit to take part in criminal proceedings.
The medical experts are to submit a new report on Glavas on 6 January.
