In relation to allegations published by some media on Friday, 22 December, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry states that the ministry's commission, set up to establish the facts and circumstances in the Barisic case, has found no evidence that Mr. Bernard Barisic informed the ministry about his apprehension in Los Angeles over his possession of narcotics, according to a press release signed by the commission's chairman, Zeljko Kupresak.
The Vecernji List daily ran an interview with Barisic, the husband of an employee in the Croatian Consulate in Los Angeles, who came into the limelight when it was revealed that he had been caught by Los Angeles police while buying drugs two years ago.
