Integration Ministry is confident that Croatia's negotiations on accession to
the European Union will be stepped up during Germany's six-month presidency of
the bloc, the ministry said in a statement on Tuesday. The ministry
expects the continuation of successful settlement of issues important for the
Union's development during the German presidency, which began yesterday.
Croatia is particularly interested in further enlargement and it
expects its negotiations to be stepped up as this would significantly affect
the meeting of Croatian plans and expectations regarding membership, the
statement said.
