With most traders already sidelined for the Christmas holiday, activity on the trading floor was muted. The nearby months eased slightly amid light speculative selling, but dealers said today's shortened session mainly centered on position adjustments before the year's end. Front-month March slipped $2 per tonne, to $1,366, having ranged from $1,363 to $1,369. May slipped $1, to $1,388, while the remaining months finished up $2 to down $1. The day's volume was estimated at 3,074 lots. CSCE will be closed Wednesday, December 25, and Thursday, December 26, in observance of Christmas.
