KARLOVAC, June 6 (Hina) - A meeting between Croatian Army Commander
Major General Pavao Miljevac and representative of the Serb side
Veljko Bosanac was held today in Turanj, the suburb of Karlovac (50
km S. of Zagreb), under the chairmanship of Colonel Pillard, the
U.N. Force Deputy Commander in Sector North.
During the talks, Serbs from the occupied part of Croatia
(UNPA North) talked about the disengagement line as a state border.
The UNPROFOR and Croatian side immediately reacted on that
statement by demanding Serbs to respect the 29 March agreement,
said Kruno Kovacevic, the representative of the Office for co-
operation with U.N. at today's news conference. Kovacevic added
that the Croatian side is disappointed with UNPROFOR's
effectiveness.
Head of the Karlovac police Dubravko Derk warned about
constant Serb provocations in UNPA North. Serbs from the village of
Banski Kovacevac set ablaze a house in Sisljevici last week. Serb
forces entered Sajevac, Lucica and other villages in the
disengagement zone.
