VIENNA, May 7 (Hina) - Talks between Croat and Moslem-Bosniac
delegations on the implementation of the Washington agreements that
were being led in the U.S. embassy in Vienna, should be
successfully finished by Monday morning, said Croatian foreign
minister Mate Granic on Saturday evening after the first five-hour
round of the negotiations in the Austrian capital. The next round
would commence on Sunday morning.
Minister Granic added that the delegations had discussed all
open issues in a very good atmosphere.
Asked whether the Moslem-Bosniac side stood by its proposal
that both the president and prime minister of the Federation of
Bosnia-Herzegovina would be Moslems-Bosniac, a representative of
Bosnian Croats, Kresimir Zubak replied that although they were
persistent in their request the Moslem-Bosniacs also offered some
new ideas.
Upon today's talks in Vienna Bosnian prime minister Haris
Silajdzic, the head of the Moslem-Bosniac delegation, said that the
negotiations were constructive and that they should resume tomorrow
morning.
