SIBENIK, March 25 (Hina) - The parliamentary committee for peaceful
reintegration and representatives of 'Croatian Electric Utility'
today agreed not to cut electricity supplies in the homes of
displaced people who had failed to pay their power bills.
The problem of displaced persons' outstanding power bills
would be resolved in negotiations between the Government and the
Utility.
The parliamentary committee, led by HDZ member Drago Krpina,
was invited to Sibenik at the request of displaced persons whose
power supplies had already been cut.
The Sibenik-based director of the Croatin Electric Utility,
Nenad Burbic said that unpaid power bills in the Sibenik county
totalled around 4.5 million Deutche Marks.
