ZAGREB, March 15 (Hina) - Croatian Deputy Prime Minister Ivica
Kostovic today received the chief of the International Committee of
the Red Cross (ICRC) mission to former Yugoslavia, Alex
Braunwalder, and his aide, Veronique Zurcher.
The talks focused on ICRC activities in searching for missing
persons and resuming negotiations on prisoner-of-war exchanges.
Kostovic asked the delegation to visit certain people held in
prison.
Kostovic also requested the ICRC to help protect the non-Serb
population in occupied Croatian areas and to follow closely the
humanitarian situation in the Banja Luka and Prijedor regions of
northwestern Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Speaking of reunions of families separated by war, Kostovic
stressed that people who found refuge in the government-controlled
parts of Croatia should also be allowed to visit their relatives in
Serb-held areas.
