SARAJEVO, Dec 20 (Hina) - Bosnian Federation police have arrested
19 persons suspected of carrying out a series of terrorist attacks,
armed robberies and murders in central and northeastern Bosnia, the
public prosecutor's office said in a statement on Saturday.
Police also filed criminal reports for initiating legal
proceedings against six persons and issued international warrants
for the arrest of three persons, including one suspected of killing
a US citizen in 1995.
Police seized a substantial amount of weapons and ammunition,
including an anti-aircraft gun with optic sights, forged documents
of government and non-governmental humanitarian organisations,
travel documents, licence plates, manuals for the conduct of
terrorist attacks and a number of vehicles used in such actions.
The federal prosecutor's office said that all data available
pointed to the fact that all suspects had been operating within a
well organised and trained group. Police were continuing the
investigation to shed light on other unsolved terrorist attacks.
Four persons were charged with plotting to rob the guardian of the
Franciscan monastery at Guca Gora in October this year.
Charges were also pressed against seven persons who had allegedly
planted an explosive device inside the belfry of the Catholic
church in the village of Puticevo near Travnik.
