SARAJEVO, Dec 9 (Hina) - UN spokesman in Sarajevo, Aleksandar
Ivanko, on Tuesday said that Bosnian Federation police forces
continued their anti-terrorist operation in central Bosnia. The
police operation began two weeks ago during which time about 40
persons have been arrested under various charges.
The operation is ongoing and we received a list of arrestees, Ivanko
said.
The Bosnian Federation Interior Ministry has not yet issued an
official statement about the operation and Croat officials are
still excluded from it.
Sarajevo's daily "Oslobodjenje" said on Tuesday that another
person had been arrested last weekend, adding that the person was a
member of the Bosnia-Herzegovina Army and was tied closely with
Mujaheddin in the village of Bocinja near Maglaj (100km north of
Sarajevo).
A terrorist by the name of Abu Hamza lived in this village. He is
considered to be the most important actor in terrorist attacks on
Catholic buildings and Croat people. He escaped from Bosnia-
Herzegovina and his whereabouts are unknown.
