( Editorial: --> 5098 )
MOSTAR, Dec 1 (Hina) - Martin Garrod and David Foley on Monday
welcomed the rotation of top officials in the Herzegovina-Neretva
Canton.
Garrod, head of the Mostar regional office of the international
High Representative for Bosnia-Herzegovina, called a founding
session of the Mostar City Council for December 4, on the basis of
September local election results.
In line with the results, technically certified by the Organization
for Security and Cooperation in Europe, the Coalition for an
Integral and Democratic Bosnia, headed by the Party of Democratic
Action, received 14 seats in the Council, while the Bosnian
Croatian Democratic Union party received ten mandates.
Asked by a journalist whether the rotation of top officials would
follow in the Central Bosnia Canton where, like in the Herzegovina-
Neretva Canton, Croats and Bosniaks (Muslims) share authority,
head of the OSCE office in Mostar Foley said he wanted to see
positive changes all over Bosnia.
A session of the Central Bosnia Canton had been called for tomorrow,
he said.
