TUZLA, Oct 31 (Hina) - A donors' conference for Brcko is to take
place in this north Bosnian town on 4 and 5 November.
At the initiative of the International High Representative for
Bosnia-Herzegovina, Carlos Westendorp, and the international
supervisor for Brcko, spokesman for Westendorp's office in Brcko,
Razvigor Bazala, said on Friday.
Bazal announced 23 countries and ten non-government organisations
to participate at the conference to provide support for the
economy, infrastructure and social problems of the town area on
both sides of the separation line between entities.
Discussed will also be various forms of help for small companies and
loans from DM 5,000 to DM 20,000.
Bazala added that since the last meeting of the Commission for
Return to the zone under international supervision, another 154
applications to return had been granted, out of which 77 had been
filed by Croats, 66 by Moslems and 12 by Serbs.
So far, 1,955 persons have returned to the area.
