BELGRADE, Feb 1 (Hina) - A two-day round table conference on

The conference's unanimous decision was that the governments
of countries created in the region of former Yugoslavia did not
show sufficient will and readiness to resolve the problem of
refugees and an international conference was suggested, which would
establish the commitments of governments in the region.
Many participants discussed disputable issues in the relations
between Croats and Serbs. The stance that Belgrade's politics were
responsible for initiating the war in the region of former
Yugoslavia dominated, but it was established that all sides had
committed war crimes.
Many expressed doubt that the regimes that had led the war
could ensure peace and solve one of the consequences of the war -
the problem of displaced persons and refugees.
Some said that the problem of refugees could not be solved as
long as their organizations and associations represented themselves
from different nationalist positions.
Most of the participants of the conference will participate in
another round-table conference which is to take place on Saturday
in the organization of the Belgrade Circle of Independent
Intellectuals.
The conference will focus on the implementation of the
civilian part of the Dayton Agreement.
