ZAGREB, Feb 27 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman on Tuesday
received the newly-appointed President of the Croatian Supreme Court, Milan
Vukovic, to discuss the functioning of the rule of law, the President's
Office said in a statement.
The meeting stressed the need for bringing the judicial system into
accord with the needs of the independent and sovereign Croatian State and
the consistent development of the rule of law.
President Tudjman was accompanied by Chief of Staff Hrvoje Sarinic,
advisers Ivic Pasalic, Luka Bebic and Smiljko Sokol, and head of the
President's Cabinet Gordan Radin.
Also attending were House of Representatives Deputy Chairman Vladimir
Seks, Deputy Prime Minister Ljerka Mintas-Hodak, State Judicial Council
President Ante Potrebica and State Attorney Marijan Hranjski, the statement
concluded.
