President of the Constitutional Court Jadranko Crnic told Hina
that elections were a complex procedure which had to be implemented
in line with the Constitution and laws, without any improvisation
and hastiness.
Stressing that elections were very near, Crnic said that a
number of legal and technical preparations needed to be done, the
main part of which lay with the Electoral Commission.
Under Croatian electoral rules, the Electoral Commission
comprised of a president and four members all of which had
deputies, who were appointed by the Constitutional Court from the
line of judges of the Supreme Court and other distinguished
advocates, Crnic said.
