ZAGREB, Feb 13 (Hina) - The Croatian government on Thursday adopted
a programme of activities in the energy sector for this year and
announced programmes for energy efficiency and the use of renewable
energy sources.
The government passed a decree securing funds for the housing
of war veterans and their families, under which budget users will
earmark two percent of all investments and credit it to a special
account of the Ministry of Reconstruction and Development.
Until the end of this year, the government will provide
housing under the law regulating the rights of Croatian Homeland
War veterans and their families.
The government approved the start of proceedings for
concluding a free trade agreement with Slovenia. Bilateral
agreements on free trade with all members of the Central European
Free Trade Association (CEFTA) are an important prerequisite for
Croatia's entry into this organization, it said.
The government also approved a decision to put the shares of
Koncar Elektroindustrija d.d. on sale on domestic and foreign
capital markets. The shares, whose nominal value is DM 108 million,
are owned by the Croatian Privatization Fund.
