SARAJEVO, Feb 13 (Hina) - Bosnia-Herzegovina's collective Presidency's
president, Alija Izetbegovic, on Thursday talked with U.S. Secretary of
State, Madeleine Albright on the phone.
Izetbegovic's office said in a statement that the talks revolved
around results of arbitrators' decision on the status of the northern
Bosnian town of Brcko.
The statement added that the U.S. State Secretary confirmed to
Izetbegovic that there had been significant changes in a draft decision of
the arbitration commission and that changed were to the benefit of the
Bosnian Croat-Moslem Federation. But, it was not said what kind of changes
had been done.
The Bosnian Presidency's chairman on Thursday received German
Ambassador to Bosnia, Johanes Preisinger, and delivered him a message for
Chancellor Helmut Kohl, concerning the forthcoming announcement of the
decision on the status of the town on the right bank of the Sava river.
A co-chairman of Bosnia's Council of Ministers, Haris Silajdzic, on
Thursday met ambassadors of west European countries, accredited in the
Bosnian capital. They also discussed the resolution of the Brcko issue.
The Federation's Vice President, Ejup Ganic, said in Sarajevo on
Thursday that it was prematurely to comment on the decision on the status of
Brcko, because no final resolution had been made yet.
