'Changes in the organisation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and
objective circumstances have caused the dynamics of the development
of bilateral relations to be different than we would like it to be.
We have to step it up', said Matesa after his talks with the
Bosnian Foreign Minister Jadranko Prlic.
Bilateral relations should develop with 'respect for interests
of both sovereign states', Matesa said.
Croatia wanted to improve its cooperation with Bosnia in
fields of economy and transport, and it was ready to help Bosnia in
the education of Bosnian army officers, Matesa said.
Bosnia's Prlic stressed the importance of improving Bosnia's
transport communications with Europe and the importance of
implementing a contract on the construction of highways, agreed on
by the United States, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Croatia.
Asked about relations between the Federation partners, Prlic
warned that 'the Federation, as an entity, has begun functioning
fully only as of this January. Incidents or artificial creation of
tensions should not be allowed to prevent the process which is the
backbone of the overall peace process in Bosnia'.
'All those questions can be solved efficiently through a
dialogue', Bosnia's foreign minister said.
