SARAJEVO, Jan 26 (Hina) - Bosnia-Herzegovina's Ministerial
Council's co-chairman, Haris Silajdzic, decided not to be a member
of a Bosnian delegation that is due to visit Germany officialy next
week.
A statement released by Silajdzic's office on Sunday evening
described the decision as a protest against the intention of the
other co-chairman Boro Bosic to travel to Germany separately and
thus defeat the purpose of the visit, and that is the promotion of
Bosnia-Herzegovina after the establishment of the central bodies of
authority.
Silajdzic, a Moslem representative in the Council, was
informed by the German Embassy in Sarajevo of Serb representative
Bosic's plans.
"Such an act will not contribute to Bosnia-Herzegovina's
earning recognition from the international community," Silajdzic's
statement said adding that Bosic's act is also in contrary to the
Dayton Agreement.
Silajdzic sent a letter to German Foreign Minister Klaus
Kinkel notifying him that he cannot travel to Germany in protest of
Bosic's intention.
The joint delegation should have been led by Silajdzic, Bosic
and a Croat representative, the Council's deputy chairman, Neven
Tomic.
