SARAJEVO, Jan 12 (Hina) - US Assistant State Secretary John Kornblum on Sunday held talks with co-presidents of the Bosnia- Herzegovina Council of Ministers, Haris Silajdjic, and Boro Bosic, and held separate talks with Bosnian
Federation Prime Minister Edhem Bicakcic. After the meeting, Silajdzic told reporters that a high degree of agreement had been achieved, regarding the need of respecting and implementing the Dayton Agreement.
SARAJEVO, Jan 12 (Hina) - US Assistant State Secretary John
Kornblum on Sunday held talks with co-presidents of the Bosnia-
Herzegovina Council of Ministers, Haris Silajdjic, and Boro Bosic,
and held separate talks with Bosnian Federation Prime Minister
Edhem Bicakcic.
After the meeting, Silajdzic told reporters that a high degree
of agreement had been achieved, regarding the need of respecting
and implementing the Dayton Agreement. #L#
It had also been agreed that full attention should be paid to
the part of the peace agreement concerning the reconstruction of
Bosnia-Herzegovina as a guarantee for peace in the country.
A statement issued after Kornblum's meeting with Bicakcic said
that Kornblum had been informed about the preparations for the
establishment of the Federal police and the adoption of a package
of laws on privatization in the Federation Parliament.
Kornblum informed Bicakcic about the forthcoming session of
the Federation Forum which is to take place near the end of
January. The session should analyze the implementation of
previously defined tasks.
Before leaving Sarajevo for Zagreb on Monday, Kornblum is to
hold talks with a member of the Bosnian Presidency and President of
the Bosnian Federation, Kresimir Zubak.
