SERBIAN FORCES CONTINUE ATTACKS ON KOSOVO VILLAGES

( Editorial: --> 5085 ) PRISTINA, Oct 2 (Hina) - Strong Serbian forces aided by armoured vehicles and heavy artillery on Friday started attacks on the village of Madjare, in the Malisevo municipality, Kosovo Albanian sources reported on Friday. A number of Albanians civilians were severely wounded during the attacks on the mountain village of Jezerce late last night, the Kosovo Committee for the Protection of Human Rights and Freedoms in Urosevac reported. The Committee sent an appeal to international humanitarian organisations to secure medical and other help for 1,500 Jezerce residents, who have been exposed to shelling since last Saturday and no longer have any food, medicines or other necessities. Kosovo Democratic Alliance officials and members of the Human Rights Committee reported the discovery of new bodies belonging to Albanians killed during the latest Serbian offensive. The bodies of three Albanians have been discovered in Suva Reka, while two other victims have been found in the village of Strofce, near Vucitrn, sources from Suva Reka reported.
