PRISTINA, Sept 29 (Hina) - Serbian forces on Tuesday continued
shelling villages surrounding Stimlje and Urosevac, in southern
parts of the Yugoslav province of Kosovo.
The attacks have continued despite the Serbian government's claim
that the offensive against Albanians rebels has been completed, the
Kosovo Information Centre reported today.
Smoke and fire can be seen in four villages in the Stimlje
municipality and the village of Jezerce near Urosevac.
Serbian police yesterday launched attacks on villages surrounding
Likovac near Srbica, west of Pristina.
The shelling of Gornje Obrinje near Glogovac, south of Srbica,
continued on Tuesday. According to Kosovo Albanian sources, 15
members of the Deliu family were killed in the village yesterday. A
US monitoring mission visited Gornje Obrinje yesterday.
Kosovo Democratic Alliance sources in Suva Reka, western Kosovo,
report that Serbian forces are setting afire the surrounding
villages.
The refugee situation in Suva Reka is deteriorating, aggravated by
bad weather in the past several days.
The poor living conditions on Monday claimed the lives of four
children and two women.
