Today's event was organised at the Kinoteka cinema and brought together representatives of the Montenegrin minority from Croatia and Slovenia, sister organisations of Montenegrin Muslims, and government officials from Croatia and Montenegro, including Montenegrin Foreign Minister Miodrag Vlahovic.
The National Union of Montenegrins is an umbrella organisation in charge of all activities of the Montenegrin minority in Croatia. It has branches in Zagreb, Rijeka, Split, Rovinj, Pula, and Karlovac.
According to Union leader Radomir Pavicevic, about 1,300 ethnic Montenegrins live in Zagreb, about 700 in Rijeka and about 800 in Split.
