Describing bilateral relations as very good, the ambassador said that he was following with great interest the reconstruction of churches and monuments, and added that he could see that the reconstruction was proceeding as well as possible.
Minister Biskupic, who is also the head of the government's commission for the relations with religious communities, confirmed that the government was trying to honour its commitments in accordance with its financial potentials, too.
The minister recalled that one very sensitive issue, namely the return of Croatian artefacts and other cultural goods transferred to Serbia-Montenegro during the war in 1990s, was still open. The ambassador pledged to do all he could to help solve the problem.
