The conference called "We Can and Must Reach the Truth", organised by the federation of associations of the families of missing and detained Croatian Homeland War Soldiers, was opened by Veterans Minister Jadranka Kosor, under whose auspices the event is held.
Representatives of associations from Croatia, Bosnia and Serbia and Montenegro, where another 30,000 people are still considered as missing, will talk about their experience and difficulties in the search of the missing, exhumations, identification and the role of international organisation.
Opening the conference, Kosor said that a total of 140 mass and about 1,000 individual graves, containing the bodies of 3,497 people, had been found in Croatia after the liberation.
The conference will end on Sunday.
