The HDZ won six seats in the City Council. It is followed by the independent list of Zeljko Jerkov with four seats, the right wing coalition HCSP-HB-HDRS-HD led by Luka Podrug with three seats and the slate of a former mayor and former SDP member, Slobodan Beros, with one seat in the City Council.
The turnout in Split-Dalmatia County, which has a total of 412,157 registered voters, was 39 percent.
Four parties entered the County Assembly -- the HDZ with 32.46 percent of the vote (22 seats), the SDP-HNS-HSS-HSU coalition with 27 percent of the vote (18 seats), the HCSP-HB-HD HDRS-HiP- HP-HPP coalition with 9.6 percent of the vote (6 seats) and the Croatian Party of Rights which won 8.36 percent of the vote or five seats.
