ZAGREB, May 15 (Hina) - About 6,500 polling stations were opened inCroatia at 7 am on Sunday at which four million Croats will elect whowill represent them over the next four years in municipal and citycouncils, county assemblies and
the Zagreb City Assembly.
ZAGREB, May 15 (Hina) - About 6,500 polling stations were opened
in Croatia at 7 am on Sunday at which four million Croats will elect who will
represent them over the next four years in municipal and city councils, county
assemblies and the Zagreb City Assembly. Polling stations will stay
open until 7 pm.
The fourth local elections since Croatia gained independence over a
decade ago are being held in 570 constituencies. Voters will elect 8,377 local
representatives among about 64,000 candidates, eight per each seat.
Electoral blackout is in force until 7 pm today and covers the release
or estimate of election results.
