Father Tonci Trstenjak, who heads the HTV's department for religious programmes, told Hina on Monday that he advised Naumovski, who had a temporary work contract with the HTV, to discontinue cooperation for some time because of a large number of phone calls by viewers of religious programmes who protested against her interpreting Mass for deaf people.
The board of editors concluded that Trstenjak's decision was not based on the assessment of an employee's work quality and that it would seek an opinion from the Ethics Commission, after which it would make appropriate decisions.
