Kosor told reporters in New York on Sunday that she was mulling some personnel changes and revamping in the government to be made by the end of this year.
Explaining Kosor's statement, Bacic told a news conference in the HDZ headquarters on Monday that the revamping was aimed at rendering the government more successful.
Bacic rejected speculations that plans for changes in the government had been triggered off by statements made by former Deputy Prime Minister Damir Polancec.
The HDZ official also dismissed speculation that at least two ministers would be replaced.
According to Bacic, neither PM Kosor nor the HDZ presidency have so far discussed any concrete names.
"The party presidency always discusses in principle models for improving the quality of the government's work and steps to be taken to expedite the implementation of its programme," Bacic said.
Commenting on accusations from the Social Democratic Party (SDP) that the HDZ leadership and PM Kosor were involved in a criminal enterprise and that they had been familiar with scandals in public companies, Bacic said that Zeljko Jovanovic of the SDP "relentlessly keeps slandering the HDZ".
"We interpret this as a sign of nervousness in the SDP" after the premier said that the names of those involved in bribe-taking in the Daimlar scandal would soon be brought to light, Bacic said.
