Dragan Kovacevic of the HDZ asked about an ongoing investigation in a graft case regarding the purchase of Daimler fire-fighting vehicles and when it would be established who in the SDP received bribes in this case exceeding several million kuna.
Justice Minister Drazen Bosnjakovic answered that "it is not a question whether somebody took bribes, but who took them."
The minister said that a stepped-up investigation was under way in the case.
Ana Lovrin of the HDZ was interested in the case of purchase of shares in a tourist resort on island of Kukljica by Coning company, owned by the leader of the Croatian People's Party (HNS), Radimir Cacic.
Lovrin said that after the Varazdin-based company bought shares from workers of the Kukljica resort, the hotel company was destroyed.
Economy Minister Djuro Popijac confirmed that the agony of that company and the local community began after Coning became a majority owner of the tourist settlement in 2001.
The minister pledged that the government would think about "how to prevent such cases in the future".
