A lack of fresh market moving news helped to keep the market very subdued. Even a host of Malaysian palm oil data from the Palm Oil Registration and Licensing and Authority (PORLA) and cargo surveyor SGS proved to be a damp squib, as it all emerged close to expectations. The palm oil sector ended unchanged to $2.50 down. During the afternoon the only traded was for Jul olein at $547.50. Tradeless soy oil shed most of its earlier gains as Chicago soybean oil futures fell in early trade. At the close selling levels stood 0.25 guilders below Friday's finish. Rape oil closed 0.25 to 0.50 guilders lower and like soy oil was tradeless. Lauric oils were also tradeless and ended the day unchanged to $5 easier.
