Soft oils lost a further 1.50 guilders during the afternoon while palm oil shed a further $2.50. Traders said palm oil was looking over priced but slowing little sign of breaking. "There are some export figures due out from SGS on Tuesday morning and people are saying that if they are on the low side then we could see palm oil finally break," said one trader. On a thin market Dutch oil closed two to 2.50 guilders down after Jul traded at 104.50 and Aug/Oct at 104 and 103.75 guilders a 100 kilos fob ex-mill prior to the Chicago opening. There was also an unconfirmed report that rape oil traded at 103.50 guilders for Nov/Jan with sellers 1.50 to two guilders down at the close. Crude palm oil finished $7.50 to $2.50 lower with no out right business reported although July traded in a switch with Aug/Sep at a $2.50 spread. Among products RBD palm oil was unchanged to $5 down while olein was $2.50 lower with no further business reported.
