"Business has not flowed during the day it's just been odd bits here and there," said one trader. Traders said sentiment had turned softer but sellers did feel under too much pressure as they felt sure buyers would take advantage of the lower prices. "Consumers don't want to miss the boat and are likely to jump in before the market goes up again," said one. Soft oils closed with soy oil 0.25 to 0.50 guilders down after Aug/Oct traded at 109 and Nov/Jan at 107 guilders a 100 kilos fob ex-mill. Rapeoil finished unchanged to 0.50 guilders higher with trading reported in Jun/Jul at 108, Aug/Sep at 107.25 and Nov/Jan at 108.25 guilders a 100 kilos. Crude palm oil closed $5 down to unchanged with one additional trade reported in Apr at $555 a tonne cif Europe. Among products RBD palm oil and olein were $5 to $7.50 down with no further business reported. In the lauric oil sector coconut oil was lower again with sellers $7.50 to $10 down after Apr/May traded at $670, May/Jun at $665, Jun/Jul at $660 and Jul/Aug at $660 and $655 a tonne cif Europe. Jun/Jul, Aug/Sep and Sep/Oct combined also traded at an average price of $652.50 a tonne cif. Palmkernel oil was neglected with sellers $5 down to unchanged.
