MOSTAR, Nov 22 (Hina) - The head of the Office of the President
of the Croatian Republic of Herzeg-Bosnia, Vladislav Pogarcic, on
Monday forwarded a letter to General Francis Briquemont,
commander of UN troops in Bosnia-Herzegovina, saying that the
Croatian authorities of Herzeg-Bosnia would refuse cooperation
and communication with him unless UNPROFOR considerably improved
its operation in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
"The track record of UNPROFOR in Bosnia-Herzegovina has shown
that your forces are clearly incompetent in exercising their
mandate in Bosnia-Herzegovina," said Pogarcic, giving a series of
examples ranging from the Nova Bila hospital and the expulsion of
thousands of Croats from Vares and central Bosnia to arrests and
maltreatment of Croatian Defence Council (HVO) leaders in
Sarajevo and criminal acts by UN officers. Pogarcic said that
General Briquemont and the forces under his command were
accessories to genocide over the Croatian people in Bosnia-
Herzegovina.
The head of the Presidential Office of Herzeg Bosnia said that
General Briquemont's reasons for not providing transport for
Croat delegates to Mostar were incomprehensible and illogical.
